How To Monetize YouTube Channel - 2022

How To Monetize Your YouTube Channel - 2022 Beginner's Guide:-

Want to know how to monetize your channel and start monetizing YouTube? Take a look at our apprentice guide!
This post is all about how you can monetize your content on YouTube to start earning money. Here are four golden rules for making money on YouTube and they are:
  • You need to have 1000 subscribers to your YouTube channel.
  • Your videos have generated 4,000 hours of viewing in the last 12 months.
  • You comply with all YouTube policies and guidelines.
  • You have an AdSense account set up.
1.YouTube Partner Program Requirements
Commonly known as the YouTube Partner Program or YPP for short, you need to hit four requirements before your channel can be recognized.
Let's start with 1000 subscribers. It's straightforward, it doesn't matter how long it takes you to get 1000 subscribers, once you hit this milestone you reach that requirement.
As well as 1000 subscribers, you also need 4,000 hours of viewing time on your videos in the last 12 months. There is some confusion with this, so let me try to make it clear. First, it's not about how many YouTube content creators you see. This is how much video content is viewed on your channel by people around the world. All the hours of video that people have seen on your channel in the last 12 months (from any date) may be better than your 4,000 hours of viewing time in your channel's lifetime, but this is only the last 12 months that count for YouTube Partner Program requirements.
To tell you more about the timing of the visit. Live streams count as total. The videos listed are also towards the total, but if you delete a video, that viewing time will be removed from your channel viewing time. And one more final point, if you're already in the YouTube Partner Program and your channel falls below 4,000 hours of viewing time, YouTube won't automatically remove you from the Partner Program, they can do it at their discretion. If you want more detailed videos of 4,000 hours, watch this video:

If you want to check the progress of the above requirements, you can do so by clicking on the logo in the top right corner of most YouTube pages and then clicking on YouTube Studio Beta. You can see all of your analytics here, but to quickly check monetization progress, hover your mouse over "Other Features" and then click "Status and Features." On this screen, you need to see your monetization box and if you click "Learn more" it will tell you exactly where you are with customers and visit times.
But if all of this seems like too much hard work, we've got a free tool that will do all of this faster and more efficiently. If you download and install the VDIQ software on every YouTube screen, you'll see a collection of real-time statistics about your channel. It shows you hourly channel views, the last 48 hours viewed, and your subscriber count. But the really great thing is that it will also track your progress in 4,000 hours of watch time! Once you hit 4,000 hours, this number will turn green to show that you have reached that monetization requirement.
2.YouTube is following the rules for monetization
Next to the list is the rule book. If you want to monetize your content, you need to make sure as a YouTube state:
When you apply for the YouTube Partner Program, you will go through a standard review process to see if your channel meets YouTube's policies and guidelines. Only channels that meet with them will be accepted into their program.
YouTube constantly checks channels on programs to see if they continue to comply with YouTube's policies and guidelines. These are the policies and guidelines that will help you find the right balance between creators, viewers, and advertisers on YouTube.
However, if you are in a TLDR mood, in short, apply common sense. If you think a video might be inappropriate, chances are you create such content at your own risk.

3. Copyright and Monetization Policies on YouTube

Copyrighted material is a huge issue in YouTube's policies and guidelines. Basically, if you use other people's work, you can use copyrighted material without their permission, and YouTube doesn't want you to. This will almost certainly demonetize you or prevent you from accessing the YouTube Partner Program. Let's see in a little more detail. For most of you, this is the most important monetization policy. You need to make sure that you are adding value to any third party content for monetization and that your content contains significant keynotes, educational values or editorial statements. And let's be clear, this may not be enough yet. It doesn't always license you to use other people's content in your videos, because if you do, YouTube can use it as an excuse not to monetize your content. YouTube confirms that if all or most of your channels are dedicated to reusable content and you are not converting the original work by adding your own unique value, then your channel is not suitable for the YouTube Partner Program. The spirit of this policy is to confirm YouTube.
YouTube is promoting unique and original content in the Partner Program, and YouTube is protecting and rewarding creators who work hard on the original content.

Now, some may see YouTube as an excuse to devalue channels they don't want in the monetization program, but let's look at it from this perspective. You've spent hours, hours, creating great content, and it goes viral on YouTube. And then dozens of random video makers steal that content, upload it, generate millions of views, and get handsome from it. How would you feel if that happened? This is what YouTube is trying to protect - original content from video makers.

Admittedly, reusable, duplicate content, and copyrighted content are a wide gray area on YouTube and they don’t always get it right. And you can look at some of the channels on YouTube that clearly hate these rules. Well, you don't know what their unique situation is, they may have permission to use that content, or they may be caught in the future and you don't want to follow the example of the channels that are doing it. This is not the way to success.

Finally the YouTube doorman. They hold all the keys. You’re on leased land, and if you evade these rules and break them, YouTube won’t be surprised to come after you.

4. Linking a Google AdSense account to a YouTube channel

If you are going to make money from your videos, YouTube needs a way to pay you and at least to get started, it will be done through an AdSense account. There are a few things you need to know about this if you already have an AdSense account you can use it. You can link multiple channels to one AdSense account, and if you don't have one, you can set up one during the YouTube Partner Program application process.

5. Apply to the YouTube Partner Program

Let us remind you once again of these requirements: You need:

  • Your YouTube channel has 1000 subscribers
  • Over 4,000 views on your videos in the last 12 months
  • Comply with all YouTube policies and guidelines
  • Set up an AdSense account

Once you have implemented the YouTube Partner Program, it may take up to a month for the platform to decide. This is because real people will review your channel so it is a manual process. Some channels have been approved in days, so it could be faster. However, if it takes more than a month, your channel will usually be put under further review. When this happens, unfortunately, the waiting times can get very long. Three, six, maybe even 12 months. In some unfortunate cases, YouTube never thinks it will make a decision, leaving the creator in a long state of monetization.

We are grateful that this can be a very frustrating position to find yourself as a video maker, as many of you have commented on our videos here at BDJU. Unfortunately, we can't help you move the process forward on our own, so what we recommend you do is talk to Team YouTube on Twitter, making sure everyone knows you have a problem with your monetization decision.

YouTube says it never speeds up the process, but at least making some decisions is something you should deserve as a video maker.

6. Rejecting from the YouTube Partner Program: The next step

Now suppose you have applied for the YouTube Partner Program, but you have been denied. What can you do?
On Page Seo , Google Top Ranking, Monetize Youtube Channel 2022.You need to have 1000 subscribers to your YouTube channel. Your videos have generated 4,000 hours of viewing in the last 12 months. You comply with all YouTube policies and guidelines. You have an AdSense account set up.

When you are rejected from the YouTube Partner Program, YouTube will give you a common reason for this. Unfortunately, they won't tell you exactly what caused the problem with the video or content, so your channel may be blindly adjusted. However, the good news is that you can reapply for the program within 30 days.

Again, you need to use your common sense here. If you think there are any videos that have community guidelines and policies in place, they probably are and you need to adjust them. If there are any videos that have copyrighted content, they are probably causing problems on YouTube as well, so you need to delete them.

The creators have asked if a community guideline strike or a copyright strike against my channel will prevent me from accessing the program when they apply for the partner program. The answer is probably no, it certainly won’t stop you, but it has implications.

If you are rejected from the YouTube Partner Program, you have a dedicated support page with advice on what you should do, and you can find it here.
